In addition, substantive charges under Section 13(2) read with Section 13(1)(a) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 (as amended in 2018) have been framed against the Principal of Oasis School, Dr. Ahsanul Haque, who has been appointed as the City Coordinator, and the Deputy Principal, Md. Imtiyaz Alam, who has been appointed as the Centre Superintendent by the NTA for conducting the NEET UG-2024 examination.

Besides Haque and Alam, the second chargesheet filed by the investigating agency also names Baldev Kumar (alias Chintu), Sunny Kumar, Jamaluddin (alias Jamal), a reporter with a Hindi newspaper in Hazaribagh, and Aman Kumar Singh. Earlier, the CBI filed the first chargesheet against 13 accused on August 1.

According to CBI, investigation has revealed that Haque (Principal of Oasis School) along with Alam (vice principal of the school) conspired with other accused to steal the NEET-UG exam papers, the CBI said.

So far, a total of 48 people have been arrested in connection with the NEET question paper leak case. The CBI has also identified the candidates who benefited from the question paper leak and shared their details with the National Testing Agency (NTA) so that necessary action can be taken.

The investigation into the remaining arrested suspects as well as further investigations into other aspects would continue, the federal agency confirmed.
