Bryan Danielson’s participation remains uncertain

Even if AEW manages to mobilize fans at short notice with ticket offers, a five-digit viewer count remains a distant goal – a clear failure that underscores the declining interest in AEW in many US markets.

And although the promotion still has thousands of tickets left, AEW has not yet revealed whether Bryan Danielson will be available for the scheduled match against Nigel McGuinness on Wednesday following the plastic bag attack. Of course, viewers can assume that Bryan will ultimately perform.

Why Danielson’s participation in Dynamite last Wednesday was not significantly promoted, given the meager interest in the fourth “Grand Slam”, remains a secret for those in charge.

On September 25th, AEW will produce both Dynamite and Collision at Arthur Ashe Stadium. With an unconfirmed appearance by Danielson, the line-up currently looks as follows:

After “Grandslam”, AEW has two more important dates on its calendar in a very short space of time. Firstly, there is a special Dynamite edition to mark the promotion’s fifth anniversary. The celebration will take place on October 2nd in Pittsburgh (Pennsylvania). One match has already been confirmed for the show: Ricochet will challenge AEW International Champion Will Ospreay.

And then the next pay-per-view followed on October 12th: “WrestleDream” will take place on that day in Tacoma (Washington). It can be assumed that either Jon Moxley or Darby Allin (depending on the outcome of the match at “Grandslam”) will challenge Bryan Danielson for the AEW World Championship title on that day.
