Deadly shooting on the MAX platform on Burnside Street

PORTLAND, Ore. (KPTV) – On Thursday, the Portland Police Bureau found a man dead at the scene of a shooting on the TriMet MAX train platform at Northeast 148th Avenue and East Burnside Street.

At around 7:30 p.m., PPB responded to reports of a person shot and found a dead man on the MAX platform.

One person was reportedly taken into custody as part of the investigation.

Police said six people were arrested Thursday after officers executed a search warrant related to a drug investigation at a home in Lake Oswego.

During the investigation, East Burnside Street will be closed in both directions between 146th and 148th Avenues.

TriMet MAX service is not currently traveling through the intersection where the shooting occurred.
