The service is generally chargeable, but also offers selected games for free. In addition to the opening game between Augsburg and Ingolstadt, there is also the “SAP Garden Opening Game” between EHC Red Bull Munich and the NHL club Buffalo Sabres.

MagentaSport celebrates its tenth anniversary on September 27th. Since its launch in 2014, the service has broadcast more than 13,000 programs and increased its reach from 4.5 million viewers to 82 million.

After the station initially focused on ice hockey and basketball, it was renamed MagentaSport and added numerous other sports to the existing offering. In addition to the DEL, games from the Women’s Bundesliga and the 2nd Women’s Bundesliga, the 3rd Men’s League and other ice hockey and basketball events can be seen. These include the Germany Cup in ice hockey and the EuroLeague in basketball. That’s why free broadcasts are also offered for the following events:
