He is supported by his assistants Diego Barbero Sevilla and Miguel Martinez Munuera. Guillermo Cuadra Fernandez is the fourth official record holder. The video referee for the party is Ricardo de Burgos. He is assisted by VAR assistant Tomasz Kwiatkowski.

Referee Munuera will kick off the Champions League match between FC Bayern Munich and Dinamo Zagreb at 9 p.m. This will be his fifth match of the season after refereeing a qualifying match in the UEFA Conference League and three matches in the Spanish La Liga. Most recently, he refereed the match between Real Sociedad and Real Madrid on September 14.
