New free TV channel for football fans – here’s how you can watch it

Pluto TV has launched a free TV channel in collaboration with FIFA. What viewers expected.

Pluto TV, which claims to be the “leading free streaming service”, has announced the launch of its new free TV channel FIFA+ in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, as the media company Paramount Global announced in a press release. The channel can be watched exclusively on Pluto TV and without prior registration via the Pluto TV app on TV, tablet or mobile phone.

With FIFA+ Pluto TV offers an “even greater selection of football-related entertainment”. Viewers will find documentaries, original series from around the world as well as historic match replays and highlights from the men’s and women’s football world championships.

The new channel will feature many highlights, including the best of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar 2022 and the Women’s World Cup Australia and New Zealand 2023. FIFA+ Paramount advertises that it offers insights behind the scenes and shows “the emotions, excitement and fascination of football”.

For upcoming broadcasts of FIFA+ Include a look at the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa on September 21, 2024, a Mexican Independence Day celebration on September 16 with highlights of the Mexican national team, and “World Champions Spain” with highlights of the men’s team’s victory in South Africa and the women’s team’s successes in 2023, which will be seen on the weekend of September 28, 2024.

In addition, outside of sports, CNN International and CNN Fast in Germany, Austria and Switzerland two new news channels with live reporting and background reports. The channel CNN Fast Show selected short videos and offer viewers the opportunity to watch a range of internationally focused CNN content from the areas of entertainment, business, sports and major events. Pluto TV is financed through advertising and does not require a subscription. The US service was launched in Germany in 2018.
