  • The Swiss faction at Bologna has to begin with a goalless draw against Shakhtar Donetsk in the club’s debut in the Champions League.
  • Sparta Prague celebrates a comfortable 3-0 victory against Salzburg.
  • There will be 4 more parties later in the evening. The SRF live game Bruges – Dortmund can be found here.

Bologna – Shakhtar Donetsk 0:0

After a weak start to the season with three draws and one defeat in four Serie A games, Bologna has not been able to record any real success in the Champions League either. With Dan Ndoye and Remo Freuler in the starting eleven, the Italians managed to avoid an early deficit. Goalie Lukasz Skorupski saved a penalty from Georgiy Sudakov in the 4th minute. Bologna then took control and had the better chances. However, the team was denied a goal in its Champions League debut. Michel Aebischer sat on the bench for 90 minutes.

Sparta Prague – Salzburg 3:0

Sparta Prague has achieved its first victory in the “premier class” in 21 years. The Czechs took a 1-0 lead in the 2nd minute through Kaan Kairinen. Victor Olatunji increased the lead to 2-0 before half-time. The guests from Austria had significantly more possession, but Sparta was still the only one to be successful: Before the hour had passed, a goal by Qazim Laci made it 3-0. It stayed that way until the end.
