Mississippi man arrested after shooting on Hogan Road in Bangor Tuesday night

BANGOR, Maine (WABI) – Bangor police said a person was shot outside the Bangor Inn and Suites Tuesday evening.

Martavious Moore, 30, of Collins, Mississippi, has since been arrested in connection with the incident.

Shortly after 9 p.m., reports came in that a man had been shot outside the inn on Hogan Road.

Upon their arrival, officers found a man with a gunshot wound.

Police believe there was an altercation between the two on the street in Hogan Road.

The response team and negotiators were called to the scene.

Moore eventually left the room shortly after 4:00 a.m. Wednesday and was taken into custody.

He was taken to the Penobscot County Jail and faces charges of aggravated assault, reckless handling of a dangerous weapon, refusal to submit to arrest and disorderly conduct.

According to police, the pistol allegedly used in the shooting and a rifle were found in Moore’s motel room.
