Reolink: New smart doorbell launches with high resolution and two-way communication – and battery

Reolink has a new, smart doorbell on offer. According to the manufacturer, the Reolink Battery Doorbell is now available for 165 euros – including on Amazon. The model is also specifically advertised with the larger coverage. There is an extended view in an aspect ratio of 1:1, which means that people standing in front of the door can be seen from head to toe, and smaller animals and even packages can also be observed.

The doorbell can be used completely wirelessly. The electrical energy is supplied by a battery with a capacity of 7,000 mAh and an advertised running time of up to five months – alternatively, the doorbell can also be hard-wired. A WiFi module is also installed, which supports the connection to 5 and 2.4 GHz networks and should therefore provide a high data transfer rate and a stable connection. Local storage is possible, and a microSD card with a capacity of up to 256 gigabytes is supported. Compatibility with the Reolink Home Hub is guaranteed.

A resolution of 4 megapixels is advertised. High-quality images can also be taken at night. Various doorbell options are available. The equipment also includes a microphone and loudspeaker so that people at the door can communicate. Integration into various smart home ecosystems should be possible. People should be recognized intelligently and then a notification should be sent.
