American Football – ELF: Raiders Tirol extend contracts with Christian Nobile and Ben Barton

After extending the contract with head coach Him Herrmann, the Raiders Tirol extended other important coaching contracts.

INNSBRUCK. At the beginning of September, the Tyrolean American football team, the Raiders Tirol, announced that they would extend the contract with head coach Jim Herrmann for another two years. He will therefore also lead the Raiders in the upcoming European League of Football (ELF) season 2025. Now the contracts of Christian Nobile and Ben Barton :

As the Raiders announced yesterday, the contracts with Christian Nobile – Defensive Line Coach and SWARCO RAIDERS Tirol Recruiter Europe – and Ben Barton – Special Teams Coordinator and Defensive Back Coach – will also be extended for another two years.

Christian Nobile – Defensive Line Coach stays for another two years

Christian Nobilethe 39-year-old Italian joined the Raiders Tirol in December 2023. The move from the Rhinos Milano to the Tyroleans was also his step into the European League of Football. Christian Nobile began his coaching career in 2006 in the youth division of the Warriors Bologna. Here he worked as a defensive coordinator. He and his team immediately won the Italian U21 championship. After several other roles with various teams – including as head coach – in Italy, he became graduate assistant for coach Jordan Neuman at the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns in 2021. Since 2022 he has also been assistant coach of the Italian national team and head coach of the U21 team.

Defensive coach Ben Barton – contract extended for another two years

Benjamin Barton Joined the Raiders Tirol in February 2024. He is part of Jim Herrmann’s coaching staff in the area of ​​special teams coordinator and defensive back coach. Ben Barton initially started at the University of Nebraska. There he worked as a safety student assistant coach from 2005 to 2008. His work as a coach took him to several universities and colleges in America. Most recently, he returned to the University of San Diego, where he was responsible for the outside linebacker, defensive backs coach and special teams as coordinator.
