In a one-sided duel in the Lower League West (STMK), TUS St. Veit am Vogau showed an impressive performance and defeated UFC Söding 6-0. The home team was already comfortably ahead 3-0 at halftime. The hosts’ dominance continued in the second half, allowing them to extend their lead even further. The victory was a clear statement and underlined the strength of TUS St. Veit am Vogau this season.

Early lead for the home team

The game started lively, and already in the 12th minute the fans of TUS St. Veit am Vogau were able to cheer for the first time. Matic Marcius took advantage of an early opportunity and put his team in the lead with a precise shot. The guests from Söding were visibly impressed by the intensity of the home team.

In the 36th minute, TUS St. Veit am Vogau increased the lead to 2-0 when an unfortunate own goal by Stefan Hiebl further extended the hosts’ lead. UFC Söding’s defense struggled to fend off the home team’s attacks and this proved to be their downfall.

Shortly before the half-time whistle Rok Horvat in the 45th minute and scored 3:0 for TUS St. Veit am Vogau. With this comfortable lead they went into halftime and the home team were able to start the second half with great confidence.

After the break, TUS St. Veit am Vogau continued its dominance. In the 53rd minute, it was Kenan Turudijawho scored to make it 4-0 and thus destroyed any hope of the guests making a comeback. Just three minutes later, in the 56th minute, Markus Hüttler to 5-0, cementing the hosts’ superiority.

UFC Söding was unable to find a way to counter the strong home team in the second half. The visitors’ defense seemed overwhelmed, while TUS St. Veit am Vogau continued to play aggressively. Patrick Kinhamer In the 90th minute he scored the final goal, making it 6-0 for TUS St. Veit am Vogau.

For UFC Söding, however, it was a bitter evening and they will have to recover quickly to score points again in the upcoming games. However, TUS St. Veit am Vogau’s clear victory will be remembered for a long time and could represent a turning point in their season.
