“Dancing with the Stars” premieres Tuesday with two Utah pros – Deseret News

The 33rd season of “Dancing With the Stars” premieres Tuesday night with 13 celebrity couples and professional dancers ready to take part in the dance competition show.

Two of this season’s “Dancing With the Stars” pros – Ezra Sosa and Rylee Arnold – are from Utah.

The show premieres at 6:00 p.m. MDT and will air live from Los Angeles, according to ABC.

Who is Ezra Sosa?

According to People, Sosa was previously part of the show’s dance troupe and this is his first season as a pro with a celebrity partner.

His promotion to professional for this season, replacing Artem Chigvintsev, who was arrested last month, was announced on September 3.

Sosa joined the show in 2021 as part of the dance troupe and filled in for Chigvintsev for an episode last season after Chigvintsev tested positive for COVID-19.

The 23-year-old dancer is from Provo, Utah. Sosa’s parents emigrated to the USA from Argentina and Mexico

This season, Sosa’s celebrity dance partner is Anna Delvey. According to Forbes, Delvey is “a convicted con artist and fraudster who served as the inspiration for the Netflix series ‘Inventing Anna.'”

According to People, Sosa is the first Latin dance professional to appear on the show in over a decade.

Who is Rylee Arnold?

According to ABC, Arnold is the younger sister of former “Dancing with the Stars” pro player and mirrorball champion Lindsay Arnold.

This is Arnold’s second season and at 19, she is the youngest professional on the show.

Last year, Arnold was paired with reality TV star Harry Jowsey.

This season, Arnold’s celebrity partner is Stephen Nedoroscik, a two-time Olympic bronze medalist in gymnastics.

Before joining “Dancing with the Stars,” Arnold appeared on “Dancing with the Stars: Juniors” in 2018 and was paired with actor Miles Brown.

Arnold is also from Provo. After graduating from Timpview High School, she moved to Los Angeles to compete on “Dancing with the Stars,” according to The US Sun.
