To further improve the country’s rail network, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday launched three new Vande Bharat Express trains for Maharashtra via video link, taking the total number of Vande Bharat Express trains in the state to 11. According to Indian Railways, the newly launched trains will run as Nagpur-Secunderabad Vande Bharat Express, Kolhapur-Pune Vande Bharat Express and Pune-Hubballi Vande Bharat Express.

Before these trains in Maharashtra, there were eight Vande Bharat Express trains operated by both Western Railway and Central Railway. Western Railway operates the Mumbai-Ahmedabad and Mumbai-Gandhinagar routes while Central Railway looks after the Mumbai-Madgaon, Mumbai-Solapur, Mumbai-Sainagar Shirdi, Mumbai-Jalna, Nagpur-Raipur and Nagpur-Bilaspur routes.

Three new Vande Bharat Express trains for Maharashtra: Check details

Pune-Kolhapur Vande Bharat Express:

The Pune-Kolhapur Vande Bharat Express will run every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday from September 18.

This train departs from Pune at 14:15 and arrives in Kolhapur at 19:40 and returns from Kolhapur every Thursday, Saturday and Monday. It departs at 8:15 and reaches Pune at 13:30.

The train stops at Miraj, Sangli, Kirloskarwadi, Karad and Satara.

Pune-Hubballi Vande Bharat Express

The Pune-Hubballi Vande Bharat Express will run every Thursday, Saturday and Monday from September 19.

This train departs from Pune at 16:15 hrs and arrives in Hubballi at 23:40 hrs and returns from Hubballi every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. It departs at 5:00 hrs and reaches Pune at 13:30 hrs.

This train stops at Satara, Sangli, Miraj, Belagavi and Dharwad.

Nagpur-Secunderabad Vande Bharat Express

The Nagpur-Secunderabad Vande Bharat Express will run six days a week except Tuesdays from September 19.

This train departs from Nagpur at 5:00 am, arrives in Secunderabad at 12:15 pm and returns from Secunderabad six days a week. It departs at 1:00 pm and reaches Nagpur at 8:20 pm.

This train has a halt at Sevagram, Chandrapur, Ballarshah, Ramagundam and Kazipet.
