Franciscan University hosts criminal justice career day on Friday | News, Sports, Jobs


STEUBENVILLE — Franciscan University of Steubenville will host its fourth annual Criminal Justice Career Day on Friday. More than 25 organizations and employers from across the United States will be on hand to speak with attendees and help them explore careers and internships in the justice, legal and law enforcement fields.

The free event will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Pope St. Paul VI Conference Center in Christ the Teacher Hall at Franciscan University. Current and prospective Franciscan University students, high school students and the public are invited.

Agencies in attendance include the Army, Air Force ROTC, Coast Guard, Marine Corps and Navy; the United States Capitol Police; the Drug Enforcement Agency; the IRS Criminal Investigation Unit; the Maryland, Pennsylvania and Ohio state police; the Ohio Department of Natural Resources; the law schools of Ave Maria University, Cleveland State University and Duquesne University; police departments from across the region, forensic science and more.

Charles Nemeth, director of the university’s criminal justice program, will be on hand to discuss and answer questions about the undergraduate and graduate programs.
