Netflix reveals the most watched shows – and they’re British

As the head of the streaming giant revealed, series produced in Great Britain are the most watched on Netflix.

The top 10 list is led by “Fool Me Once” and “Baby Reindeer,” said Ted Sarandos, CEO of Netflix.

Together with “Bridgerton” and “The Gentleman” by Guy Ritchie, they were the most-watched series on Netflix worldwide, with a total audience of 360 million households.

The figures, which cover the first half of 2023, were presented by Mr Sarandos at the Royal Television Society conference in London.

In “Fool Me Once,” former “Coronation Street” actress Michelle Keegan played a widow whose husband appears to have risen from the dead. The series is based on the novel by Harlan Coben and stars Joanna Lumley as a mother-in-law from hell. When it was first released, the series topped the Netflix charts in 91 countries and is now considered the most-watched series of 2024.
