In front of the passengers: flight attendant collapses and dies

Shortly before takeoff, passengers on board a plane operated by the Italian airline ITA Airways were shocked. One of the flight attendants suddenly collapsed. A few minutes later, she was dead.

The woman was 57 years old when she boarded the plane to Rome. She wanted to return home to her family, her husband and three children.

The flight attendant is said to have complained of feeling unwell at the gate. However, she did not want to hear about medical help. She was anxious to return home to her family after a long deployment.

However, it is said that it happened immediately after she had boarded the plane. After she fell over, the passengers were asked to leave the plane. They were given a replacement plane that same evening. There were several delays at the airport because of the incident.

Paramedics were called, but resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful. The reason for the woman’s death remains unclear. The only cause of death recorded so far is “sudden illness”.

Alberto Mosca, mayor of Sabaudia, where the stewardess came from, spoke out after the tragedy: “I knew her.” She was a smart, smiling, kind woman. He expressed his deepest condolences to her family on behalf of the municipality.
