The RingConn Gen 2 is now available for pre-order from the manufacturer. It is a smart ring with an extensive range of functions and rather compact dimensions. The model is said to be light and compact.

After the crowdfunding comes the pre-order: The second generation RingConn can now be pre-ordered. The price is $387 directly from the manufacturer. Delivery is not scheduled to take place until October. People who are considering a pre-order should definitely check the shipping conditions, for example with regard to import duties. The RingConn is now also available on Amazon, at least in the first generation, so it might be worth waiting for the second generation.

The RingConn Gen 2 corresponds to the design language of a smart ring that has now developed and also comes with a more or less expected sensor technology. The smart ring allows the measurement of heart rate and blood oxygen saturation, and heart rate variability can also be measured. These can be used as an indicator of stress levels or physical and mental fatigue. Like simple smartwatches, the RingConn Gen 2 also supports the monitoring of sleep quality and sleep duration. The respiratory rate can also be measured, as can the number of steps.

The manufacturer is very vocal about its comprehensive options for analyzing sleep apnea, which is supposed to help identify any irregularities. The battery life is stated to be up to 12 days, and with the charging case and intermediate charges the total lifespan should increase to over 150 days. The smart ring weighs 2 to 3 grams and is quite thin at 2 millimeters, but like most smart rings it lacks a vibration motor for notifications.
