He’s married for the third time! On Saturday (September 14th) Boris Becker and his fiancée Lilian de Carvalho Monteiro tied the knot. They married in the Italian coastal town of Portofino. The wedding took place behind closed doors, but reports say that around 150 guests were invited to the society event.

Lilian is Becker’s third wife; the tennis hero was previously married to Barbara Becker (1993 to 2001) and Sharlely “Lilly” Kerssenberg (2009 to 2018). According to the Bild newspaper, his two ex-wives were not present at the wedding. The absence of Barbara – with whom Boris has his eldest sons Noah (30) and Elias (25) – was particularly surprising, as the two still maintain a friendly relationship to this day.

As Bild reports, the wedding guests included model Naomi Tara Lievens, pharmaceutical billionaire Willi Beier, investment millionaire Manfred Ferber, celebrity doctor Erich Rembeck, former skier Christa Kinshofer, former footballer Ruud Gullit, Hugo Boss boss Daniel Grieder and sports agent Edoardo Artaldi.

However, one of the most important people in Becker’s life was missing from the big wedding party: his mother Elvira Pisch. The 89-year-old senior citizen recently emphasized that she wanted to travel together with her daughter Sabine and her adult children.

According to Bild information, however, Elvira stayed in Leimen – apparently because the travel was too much for her. Due to her age, Elvira is constantly struggling with health problems. (mab)
