The Neustadt Art Festival is back: “Bold Arts Festival” goes into round 2

Under the motto “Be proud, be loud, be BOLD”, the doors to a world full of street art, graffiti, murals and contemporary art will open from October 5th to 19th. The “BOLD ARTS Festival” is now entering its second round; last year it thrilled over 500 visitors.

WIENER NEUSTADT. This year, visitors can also look forward to two street art spots in Wiener Neustadt, which will be decorated by artists with graffiti and murals.

“Last year, the youth location MÄX set a new focus on art with its first art festival. The ‘BOLD ARTS Festival’ was very well attended and we are therefore delighted that the second edition is now in the starting blocks. Today, Wiener Neustadt is also getting new splashes of color, because this time two building walls in our city are being decorated. We are very excited about the final works of art. Many thanks in advance to all the artists who are part of the festival, as well as to the entire team at the youth location MÄX. We wish you great festival days and lots of visitors!”

said Mayor Klaus Schneeberger, City Councillor for Culture Franz Piribauer and Youth Councillor Clemens Stocker.

This is what visitors can expect:

· Exhibition of “Illunis (& Friends)” with free admission in the youth location MÄX from Monday to Saturday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

· Art that gets under your skin, by tattoo artist Simon vom Rothwerk

· After work drinks from the Next crew in the lounge

· On the opening day there will also be a live DJ set from the pitchblack crew.

Last year, the wall of the BG Babenbergerring and the walls of the MÄX courtyard were decorated as part of the festival. During this year’s festival, interested parties can watch the artists painting and spraying the walls at two street art spots in Wiener Neustadt – at Neunkirchner Straße 54 and Bräunlichgasse 2.

These four artists are participating again this year:

· Nadine Werjant

· Mike Hotel

· 37

· Maurice Lemuz

These three artists are this year’s new additions:

· Illunis: A versatile artist who fuses street art and calligraphy into an art form called graffiti.

· David Leitner: Inspired by cultural diversity and the facets of our world, by social grievances and problems, he creates works that make you think.

· Crazy Mister Sketch: He loves exploring parallel worlds and creating works of art from his impressions.
