Green Bay Packers: Josh Myers vomits on the ball

Green Bay Packers: Josh Myers vomits on the ball

Such a situation is unusual even for an NFL quarterback. A teammate of Packers pro Malik Willis vomited on the football.

If a football coach is surprised by his own team’s play, there can only be an unusual reason for this. This was the case in the Green Bay Packers’ NFL game against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. Packers quarterback Malik Willis had to think of an alternative to the planned play because his teammate Josh Myers had vomited on the football before the snap, also known as the “kickoff.”

Packers coach Matt LaFleur said after the party: “I asked Malik why he didn’t throw the ball on third down and he told me Josh threw up on the ball. I thought, ‘That’s the first time I’ve heard that.'”

One of the referees, LaFleur, was asked after the scene if she should have taken Myers out of the game. The coach: “I said yes, please do that because it’s a critical situation and it’s a third down and I’ve never had to throw vomit on the football before. Malik probably didn’t like that.”

Especially since Willis was the replacement for star quarterback Jordan Love, who sprained his knee at the start of the season. Love will be missing from his team for a few more weeks. For Malik Willis, it was his first appearance, 631 days after his last NFL start. Willis wrote in his story on Instagram: “Grateful for another opportunity to glorify God.”

Despite the unusual situation, the Green Bay Packers won 16-10. LaFleur enthused: “I can’t tell you how proud I am of our football team.”
