Ministry of Justice fights against leaks and ministers discuss draft contract


Analysis: Officials at the Ministry of Justice have had to face attacks from two directions for their work on the draft Treaty Principles Bill: leaks from staff members opposed to the bill and criticism from the minister responsible for the bill.

The first blow came in January, when a draft cabinet document on the controversial bill was leaked to Rawiri Waititi, co-chair of Te Pāti Māori, and journalists at TVNZ.
