Day care centre “Aufwind” represented with products in the farm shop St. Peter/Au

ST. PETER/AU. Since the beginning of September, the products of the therapeutic day care center Aufwind have been available in the farm shop “High Five” in Sankt Peter/Au.

Aufwind is the first of the three Psyworks GmbH facilities, alongside AnkA (Kematen) and Am Flussufer (Opponitz), at 14 years old. Young adults with a mental illness receive therapeutic care in the residential and day care center in St. Peter.

The day care activities include training in activities of daily living (such as shopping, cooking, gardening), but also individual and group therapies, music groups, exercise groups, animal-assisted therapy with dogs and horses, and work in the creative field.

These different areas help to structure everyday life and enable individual development and stabilization.

Products produced sustainably by hand

The products produced during the day care center are now available in the “High Five” farm shop, independent of the previous exhibition at the Castle Christmas in St. Peter in der Au. From clay products to homemade cleaning cloths and cosmetics to greeting cards – every product was made by hand by the customers themselves.

Sustainability is important to the establishment: no plastic packaging is used, the electricity for the kiln is generated by a PV system, materials are upcycled and the harvest from the in-house garden is processed. Only high-quality ingredients are used for the cosmetic products.

The net proceeds from the sale are used for excursions with the customers.
