Erik ten Hag talks about his team selection in an interview with TNT Sports:

About Christian Eriksen: “He had a very good preseason. Good performances. He deserves his start.”

On Manuel Ugarte: “He only had two training sessions, not even full sessions. We have to integrate him now.”

On Casemiro: “He can play in the next game, the game after that. He will play, I am convinced that he will play.”

On Marcus Rashford: “He is in a good position, but he needs a goal or an assist. That moment will come.”

“He’ll get a moment and then he’ll take off. Once strikers start scoring goals, they’ll take off.”

On today: “We have to win. Every game has to be won. We will not change our approach today.”

Russell Martin on how he helped 18-year-old Tyler Dibling make his Premier League debut against Manchester United:

“Tyler honestly deserved to be in the starting line-up earlier. I think if he was two or three years older he would have played already – so that’s up to us.

“Tyler deserves to play. He’s going to be an incredible player. Today we’ll see how he copes with the atmosphere and the start of the game, because it’s completely different.”
