iPhone 16 Pro and Apple Intelligence

The iPhone 16 series has been available for pre-order since yesterday and now Apple has shared three videos showing the iPhone 16 Pro with Apple Intelligence. The focus is on the Mail app, Photos app and the optimized voice assistant Siri.

In the short videos, the Californian company describes the trio, in which British actress Isabella Ramsey plays the leading role. The first Apple Intelligence AI features will be introduced with iOS 18.1, which is expected to be released as planned in October.

The new features include writing tools for generating and summarizing text, plus a feature that provides short notification summaries.

The Messages app can suggest replies and a new feature lets users record and translate phone calls. The Photos app has a “clean up” tool that lets you remove unwanted objects from images.

What can you see in the videos?

The three short videos describe the Apple Intelligence AI features Custom Reminder, Email Summary and Siri. In the custom reminder in the Photos app, a description is entered in Photos. Based on this, Apple Intelligence finds the best photos and videos to create a story with its own story arc.

Email summary is a quick tap to log a summary of a long email in the Mail app and get to the point. It’s also possible to view summaries of emails directly from the inbox.

Voice assistant Siri has received optimizations and, through Apple Intelligence, has introduced awareness of personal context, in and across all apps, and with better language understanding, Siri can support the user like never before.
