The initial diagnosis for Bhavya Ghandi (19) was not very encouraging and it has been confirmed. The British linebacker has broken his forearm and will be out for the rest of the season.

Ghandi only joined the team in July, but despite his young age he was immediately a fixture in the defense of coach Martin Schmidt (35). He has already returned to his home country.

Receiver Simeon Oehme (23) is also no longer available for the playoffs. He suffered a torn tendon in his thumb and underwent surgery.

“We wish them both all the best and a speedy recovery! But after Bhavya’s serious injury, we have to control the workload a little on one or the other. Therefore, we have decided to make another change in the special teams and identify a new kick returner in Macgarrett Kings’ Jr.,” explains Special Teams Coordinator Erik Keil (39).

This means that defense player Devonni Reed (25) will no longer be able to act as a kick and punt returner in the playoffs in order to minimize the risk of injury. The same applies to one or two receivers.

With Macgarrett Kings Jr., another specialist has been brought to the Royals. As with quarterback Karé Lyles, however, the contract must have been negotiated before July 31st.

The new guy has definitely played at the highest college level. From 2012 to 2015, the 30-year-old American played at the BIG10 college of Michigan State University.

Kings Jr. achieved 382 yards on 53 kick and punt returns. He managed 1,461 yards and nine touchdowns on 116 receptions.
