First names have been confirmed! These mega bands are coming

The first 15 names for the line-up of the twin festivals Hurricane and Southside from June 20 to 22, 2025 have been confirmed. According to the organizer, the festivals together bring around 140,000 music fans to Scheeßel and Neuhausen ob Eck every year, and more than 60,000 tickets were sold out just a few hours after advance sales began.

Green Day perform their new album

Green Day have always been brilliant at putting their finger on the wounds of the zeitgeist. Their album “Saviors”, released this year, is no exception and is highly relevant both musically and socially. 75 million records sold and five Grammys speak for themselves. Green Day know what they’re doing and still have a lot to say. You should listen to them – none of the awards have changed that – preferably live.

AnnenMayKantereit Never had to be loud to be heard: their lyrics are too deep, their harmony too special and the emotions of their large following too immediate. Their current album “It’s evening and we’re sitting with me” once again demonstrated with great ease what an audience of millions appreciated about the Cologne band: a clear, impressive language whose lyrical verve is always supported by musical ability.

Also The Social Democratic Party of Germany (SDP) are eloquent, to a degree that takes them beyond known genre boundaries: With a great desire to be different, the two Berliners float through pop, rock, dance and hip hop, and so their ambiguous lyrics never become a trap door, at least for them. And even those who misunderstand the duo still get their money’s worth, because SDP has never taken itself or other people particularly seriously. This is how great things are created, and social criticism that you can dance along to.

These acts are coming to Southside in 2024

Alligatoah must also be described as a musician and alchemist. His current album “Off” is a personal synthesis of his past and present, of metal and hip hop. Several weeks at the top of the charts and acclaimed live shows have impressively proven that this creates the future. But the biggest indicator of his success is perhaps that Alligatoah managed to get seasoned robe wearers going wild to a No Angels cover. Chapeau!

Electric Callboy They are musical border crossers that guests at Hurricane and Southside should not miss: Metalcore and Electro – held together by a steel cable of riffs and beats that carries every genre that the band from Castrop-Rauxel has in mind. An acclaimed world tour, chart peaks and the admiration of fans and musicians alike are probably natural byproducts of so much creativity.

The meteoric rise of Nina Chuba There are probably many reasons for this: The northern light from Wedel delivers great dancehall that is forward-thinking, but also ballads that reveal a fragility that has found a perfect counterpart in the album title “Glas”. Chuba’s voice definitely carries loud and quiet tones – and an unprecedented career that will provide many more great songs and goosebumps moments.

This is how much tickets for Southside and Hurricane cost

Also announced are Biffy Clyro: The Scots are one of the world’s leading voices in alternative and progressive rock, and the band have left no doubt in their rapid 30-year career that they want to keep pushing things forward. In front of the stage, you hear little of the musical, meticulous dramaturgy and technical finesse that is necessary for this music – because this great trio makes it all look so incredibly easy.

Guests of Hurricane and Southside can also look forward to the following acts: 01099, Yellow card, By Lisbeth, Wet leg, Amyl and the Sniffers, Berq, Blond and Ikkimel.

Further acts will be announced soon. Tickets from 239,- (Hurricane) or 279,- Euro (Southside) and further information are available at www.hurricane.de and www.southside.de.
