That’s why Djokovic is better than Nadal and Federer

There is intense debate about who is the greatest of all time in a sport, the “GOAT”. In tennis, there are three players who can rightfully claim this title: Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic. Who of the so-called “Big Three” is the best is controversial.

For Serbian media, however, it is clear: “Novak is the GOAT.” This is called “sportal.rs” and backs up the statement with numbers. The portal lists the categories in which the Serb is ranked first: Grand Slam titles, Masters titles, ATP Finals titles, Olympic medals, weeks as world number one, victories over top 10 players and victories in direct comparisons.

The Serb is in second place in terms of titles with 99. Federer has four more titles – at least for now. Unlike the Swiss, the Serb is still active.

And unlike the Spaniard, he is still high up in the ATP rankings, currently in fourth place.

“Sportal” points to another statistic: number of victories on hard courts by active players. And here Djokovic leads by a large margin: he has won 71 titles on hard courts so far. He is followed by Nadal (25), Medvedev (18), Cilic (15), Zverev and Sinner (14 each). But Djokovic has to share first place (still) with Federer.
