Leak allegedly shows design of Galaxy S25 Ultra

Jedes Jahr zwischen Januar und Februar gibt Hersteller Samsung den Startschuss für die neue Smartphone-Saison. Traditionell enthüllt das Unternehmen als erster großer Hersteller seine frischen Top-Modelle in Form der Galaxy-S-Reihe. Das dürfte auch im Frühjahr 2025 wieder der Fall sein. Was Fans im Rahmen des Galaxy-S25-Releases erwartet, blieb bislang weitgehend unklar. Nun gewährt die Website Androidheadline.com in collaboration with the usually well-informed industry insider Steve Hemmerstoffer, better known under his internet pseudonym @Onleaks, an unexpectedly concrete preview of the design of the top model Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Hemmerstoffer hat einen ganzen Schwung computergenerierter Bilder sowie ein 360-Grad-Video erstellt, die auf originalen 3D-Modellen von Samsung basieren sollen. Erweisen sich die Abbildungen als korrekt, trumpft das Galaxy S25 Ultra mit einem frischen Design auf, das sich teils deutlich vom aktuellen Galaxy S24 Ultra unterscheidet. Hob sich Letzteres noch durch seine scharfen Ecken vom aktuell typischen Smartphone-Design ab, gleicht Samsung den Look beim Nachfolger offenbar an die Masse an und setzt auf abgerundete Ecken. Der Rahmen hingegen mutet kantiger an, wodurch sich das Gesamtbild stark an die regulären Galaxy-S-Modelle annähert.

Design-Entwürfe möglicherweise nicht final

Auf der Gehäuserückseite fallen die Änderungen etwas zurückhaltender aus. Das Kameramodul ist in seiner Anordnung der Objektive nahezu identisch zum Galaxy S24 Ultra. Lediglich die Ringe rund um die einzelnen Linsen muten etwas üppiger an. Ob das allerdings beim finalen Modell der Fall sein wird, bleibt unklar. Der ebenfalls für seine treffsicheren Voraussagen bekannte X-User (ehemals Twitter) Ice Universe wies in einer Reaktion auf den Leak pointed out that the design of the camera rings is not yet final and that the look shown is based on speculation. He also pointed out that the depiction of the display frame, which is even thinner than the S24 Ultra, is also incorrect.

Ergänzend zum Leak verriet er that the camera of the S25 Ultra will have a new 1/2.52-inch ultra-wide-angle sensor with a pixel size of 0.7 micrometers and an f/1.9 aperture. Otherwise, nothing will change in the camera module. According to the Hemmerstoffer leak, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is 13 grams lighter than the current model at 219 grams. It is also a bit slimmer and more compact at 162.8×77.6×8.2 millimeters, although the display size of 6.8 inches will not change. If earlier speculations prove true, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will have the as yet unreleased Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip and once again a 5,000 milliampere hour battery on board.
