with Irish Fire, Horst Gössl, Green Summer & Vienna Pipes and Drums

Irish folk, Irish dance, pipes & drums, Irish pub songs… This varied program has something for everyone. You don’t have to be an outspoken Ireland fan to be electrified by the music and dance of the Emerald Isle!
The great Irish folk band Green Summer will kick things off, captivating and sweeping the audience away from the start with their combination of Irish traditionals and rocky grooves: Irish music, thick as morning mist, rough as coastal wind, soft as moss green – a blend of mystical sounds and wild rhythms! Whether with Andre Rieu in the Vienna Stadthalle or at various national and international events such as St. Patrick’s Day, European Art 47 Concert, Highland Gathering Peine, World Pipe Band Championship and many more – the excellent bagpipe group Vienna Pipes and Drums will perform pieces on their impressive traditional Irish instruments and take a musical trip to Scotland!
Another highlight of the evening is the outstanding Viennese dance group Irish Fire. They have been dancing on the world stage since 1999. Whether in Austria or internationally, from small events to the big stage, Irish Fire loves to delight audiences with Irish dancing! Finally, Horst Gössl transforms the Metropol into an Irish pub by performing Irish folk songs such as Black Velvet Band, Molly Malone or Whiskey in the Jar together with the typical audience. Everyone sings, claps and celebrates together – an incomparable “Temple Bar feeling” that you shouldn’t miss!
