Apple Watch Ultra and Apple Watch SE: New models expected in 2025

The Apple Watch Ultra did not receive an upgrade this year, nor did the Apple Watch SE. Both models will not be updated until next year, predicts one observer, who already predicted that there would be no Ultra update until 2024.

Apple had only moderately good news for fans of the Apple Watch at the keynote on Monday: Although the Apple Watch S10 was introduced and somewhat improved with a larger and brighter display, there was no new Apple Watch Ultra and no new entry-level Apple Watch in the SE series.

This comes as no surprise to analyst Ming Chi Kuo of TF International Securities, who had already stated last fall that Apple had not yet started working on a new Ultra edition and would not be introducing one this fall – and he was right. Mark Gurman was also recently convinced that we would not see a new Apple Watch Ultra.

New Apple Watch Ultra and SE not until 2025

Now Ming Chi Kuo explains in another forecast that Apple will update both models next year, without going into further detail.

Apple is unlikely to present an Apple Watch Ultra 3 at any other time than the September keynote, while the cheaper SE could also be seen at other times. In light of the iPhone SE 4 in the pipeline, an event in the spring is conceivable, at which a new Apple Watch SE – possibly made of plastic – could also be shown.
