A moment of shock for the passengers: The Blue Fire roller coaster at Europa-Park in Rust stopped during the first climb and had to be retracted.

At Europa-Park in Rust, the roller coaster “Blue Fire” stopped tilted sideways with passengers on board. According to a spokesperson for the theme park, the train came to a stop on the first climb. According to the theme park, the ride has been put back into operation after the incident. Strong winds were not related to the incident.

Roller coaster does not have enough “energy”

“A train on the roller coaster was unable to overcome the first climbs at around 1 p.m. due to low energy at the start and came to a standstill there,” said the spokesman. The train was able to be driven back as planned so that guests could leave the ride on the ground. “At no time did a dangerous situation arise. The safety and well-being of guests are always the top priority for Europa-Park.”

This is not the first incident with the roller coaster. In April, the “Blue Fire” failed to complete a curve and rolled back four times. A spokeswoman for the park spoke of a so-called rollback. At the time, technical reasons were identified. The roller coaster rolled back twice with passengers. After that, there were two attempts without passengers. The error has been corrected. Europa-Park in Rust near Freiburg is Germany’s largest amusement park.
