Warning to close ideological friend of Ye

Candace Owens, a controversial commentator and girlfriend of Kanye West, was banned from YouTube for a week and her account demonetized after she broadcast an unpublished interview with the Chicago rapper.

The move was seen as a warning because the interview, recorded in 2022, contained parts that the company said violated its hate speech policies, including claims that “Jewish people control the media.”

In a social media post, she sharply attacked the streamer: “There will be no show today and none at all this week. That’s because @YouTube issued me a warning and a one-week ban for my meeting with Kanye.”

The right-wing opinion maker wrote alongside a screenshot from YouTube: “They also deleted the interview as ‘hate speech’ because it was widely shared by Zionists. Their tactics never change.”

Undeterred by the lockdown, Candace told her more than 2 million followers: “Anyone who has watched this podcast knows that Ye was calm and full of love – and talked about how the world needs to come together to defeat evil.”

“2.5 million people watched my debate with Rabbi Shmuley last week. The world knows why I am being targeted, and honestly, I have never been more sure that I am the right person to do it.”
