Shiffrin takes a ski break in New York

While most of the ski stars are currently preparing for the new season in Argentina, Chile or New Zealand, Mikaela Shiffrin is taking a short break.

The American is currently on “home leave” in New York after a three-week training camp in La Parva. Instead of strength and ski training, there is a varied program in the “Big Apple”.

At the weekend, Shiffrin first visited the US Open. “First time at the US Open… 20/10 would recommend it,” the 29-year-old wrote on Instagram.

Then it was on to New York Fashion Week, where Shiffrin attended a fashion show. “I’ve never seen anything like it and I’m just so overwhelmed by the beautiful art that these designers create. Stunning,” enthuses the ski star.

However, she doesn’t neglect training: in between, Shiffrin works hard in the gym.

Her fiancé Aleksander Aamodt Kilde is currently in Austria. In Innsbruck, the Norwegian continued to work on his comeback after his serious injury. Recently, the speed ace suffered another setback and was hospitalized again.

“I miss this guy,” Shiffrin posted on one of Kilde’s photos.
