Angelina Jolie brings back her opera glove at the premiere of “Without Blood” at TIFF

Angelina Jolie continues her red carpet style at the Toronto International Film Festival.

On Sunday, September 8, the 49-year-old actress headed to Canada for the world premiere of her latest project. Without bloodJolie, who directed the war drama, turned heads in a black silk dress by Dolce & Gabbana with ruffled details at the bottom hem.

To accessorize the simple yet elegant look, she wore a pair of elbow-length silk opera-style gloves that exuded old-school glamour. The filmmaker wore her long blonde hair parted in the middle and let her classic dress speak for itself by going jewelry-free at the event.

Jolie was accompanied at the premiere by her 20-year-old son, Pax. Pax, who is recovering from an e-bike accident in July, wore a black suit and tie and dark sunglasses on the red carpet. A scar was visible on his forehead, but he seemed in good spirits as he joined the audience in giving his mother and the film’s cast a standing ovation. (Pax also worked as an assistant director on the film.)

Without bloodDescribed as a “parable-like story about family, war and revenge,” starring Salma Hayek, Demián Bichir and Juan Minujín. The film was shot at Rome’s famous Cinecittà studios.

Before TIFF, Jolie attended the Venice Film Festival for the premiere of her biographical drama MaryShe landed in Italy on Tuesday, August 27, wearing a belted khaki trench coat over navy pants, dark sunglasses, and black boots.

Hours before the Mary The Oscar winner arrived at the Hotel Excelsior for the premiere looking like a Greek goddess in a brown silk dress by Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello. She accessorized with tortoiseshell sunglasses by Saint Laurent and silver earrings.

On the red carpet, Jolie stunned in a custom strapless beige Tamara Ralph gown with a fur stole over the sleeves, romantic draping on the silhouette and a pleated skirt hem. Her blonde hair was parted to the side and styled sleek and straight, while her red lipstick added a pop of color.

According to the outlet, many of the late singer’s brooches are now in the Cartier collection, and Mary Costume designer Massimo Cantini Parrini worked with the fashion house to acquire some of Callas’ pieces.

The brooch that Jolie wore on the red carpet (she also wears it in the film) was a 1972 Rose Ouvrante in the shape of a flower set with diamonds, emeralds, sapphires and rubies. The piece also features a special mechanism that allows the petals to open and close.

“I was also delighted to see it transform from a closed flower into a blooming one,” said Jolie fashion. “I like to think it made her smile. The little secret of the piece.”
