Valorant leaks show that a replay system is finally in the works, but only for mobile devices

Valorant leaks have revealed that a full replay system is currently being worked on that can be used in the game, but all signs point to it being mobile-only.

Since the release of Valorant, many fans have been asking for a replay system so players can rewatch their matches, but after four years, Riot still hasn’t added it to the PC version.

In March 2024, the developers released an update on the potential feature and announced that they do not have an estimated time for its arrival due to the complexity of implementing it into the game.

Now that the alpha version of Valorant Mobile has launched, new leaks are emerging and it looks like the game will finally get its first working replay system, long before its PC debut.

The mobile port was revealed to the world at the start of the alpha by various leakers and features a true replay system that allows you to rewatch an entire game.

These include changing player POV, x-rays, full stats, KDA, as well as the ability to go through the entire game second by second. It is unclear if there will be a free roam view like in other replay systems like Counter-Strike 2 or Overwatch 2.

According to ValorantMobileX, who posted a video demonstrating the system, replays can be deleted after each game update, which is common in other similar titles.

The closest the PC port ever came to a replay viewer before this leak was the game’s release in China in 2023. The local client had a feature that allowed players to watch moments from a match.

However, it was more of a compilation of kill highlights from a match than a proper replay viewer. There is currently no planned release date for the mobile port, nor an expected release of a replay viewer on PC.
