Ravensburg’s American footballers meet serial champions

The ifm Razorbacks Ravensburg have already made club history. For the first time, the Upper Swabians have made it to the play-offs of the German Football League (GFL1). And on Saturday it got even better: thanks to a 33:27 victory after double overtime against the Munich Cowboys, Ravensburg’s footballers enjoy home advantage in the quarter-finals.

The opponent has also already been decided. The Upper Swabians will host the New York Lions from Braunschweig on Sunday, September 22nd. The serial champions from the north (twelve German Bowl titles) also won in overtime against the Hildesheim Invaders, pushing them into fourth place. Kickoff is at 3 p.m. in the Teledata Stadium in Weingarten. The ifm Razorbacks hope for as many fans as possible to loudly support the team in their first play-off game in the club’s history.
