Xbox Cloud Gaming allows you to play titles without having to own a console or PC. It works like this: A game is usually installed on the console or PC. During the game, the processing power of the console or PC is used to display the game world, load the levels and process the inputs via the controller or mouse. With cloud gaming, no separate processing capacity in the form of a console or PC is required or used. The games are installed on Xbox computers in a remote location. The game world and levels are calculated and generated on these computers. Only the playback, including image and sound, are sent to the receiving device via the Internet. The inputs made with the controller, mouse or keyboard are sent from the player’s device via the Internet to the Xbox computer in the remote location and processed there. Therefore, a fast and stable Internet connection is the most important component of cloud gaming.
