NFL star Tyreek Hill briefly arrested after accident

A few hours before the first game of the season for the NFL team Miami Dolphins, star player Tyreek Hill caused a moment of shock.

Police briefly arrested the 30-year-old wide receiver on Sunday (September 8) because he was involved in a traffic incident.

This was announced by the club from Florida. However, Hill was available for the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars shortly afterwards and was in the starting lineup.

Video footage shows Hill lying face down on the ground as four officers surround him, place his hands behind his back and appear to handcuff him. The incident reportedly occurred outside Hard Rock Stadium, the Dolphins’ home stadium.

Hill’s manager Drew Rosenhaus told ESPN about the moving images of the arrest that were circulating: “This is crazy, I’ve never seen anything like it.” For him, the police’s actions were “completely unnecessary.”
