Planetary Research Days in Berlin – Public Lecture

Planetary Research Days in Berlin – Public Lecture

It is the largest conference in planetary sciences in Europe – with more than 1,100 international participants expected, the Europlanet Science Congress (EPSC) will be held in Berlin from September 8 to 13 with current topics and questions relating to planetary sciences and the exploration of the solar system.

The conference will include scientific presentations, workshops, panel discussions and networking opportunities. The public is also invited to a lecture on Thursday, according to the Free University of Berlin (FU), in whose Henry Ford Building the congress will take place.

Three researchers will present their work. The English-language lectures in the Zeiss Planetarium will focus on research projects on Mars, Venus and the Moon. The public is invited to the free event, but registration is recommended. In addition, researchers want to visit several schools in Berlin and the surrounding area and share their enthusiasm for exploring planets and space.

According to the Free University of Berlin, the meeting is organized by the Department of Planetary Sciences, the Europlanet Society, the Institute of Planetary Sciences at the German Aerospace Center and the Museum of Natural History.
