Neumayer won his home match 6:4, 6:3 and will play for the title on Sunday. His opponent will be the winner of the match between Jan Choinski and Jakub Nicod.

Neumayer, currently ranked 320th in the ATP world rankings, is also fighting for his first title on the Challenger Tour. In 2023, he reached the finals in Salzburg and Cordenons, but did not manage to win the last one. In Salzburg, he lost to Sebastian Ofner.

In Tulln, Neumayer beat the No. 1 seed and 2nd seed Swiss Jerome Kym in three sets in the quarterfinals yesterday Friday, giving himself a nice present for his 22nd birthday.

The run will also be reflected in the new ranking: “Live” he is already in 262nd place, which means a jump of 58 places. A win would put him in the top 230.

Neumayer’s best ranking position so far is 206th.
