Two people are injured in an aircraft accident in Korbach (Waldeck-Frankenberg district). The takeoff of a single-engine Piper failed.

Korbach – An aircraft accident occurred on Saturday morning, September 7, near the Korbach airfield in the Waldeck-Frankenberg district. A single-engine Piper could not be successfully started.

The two occupants of the aircraft sustained injuries and were transported to hospital for medical treatment. The exact circumstances that led to the failed takeoff and the subsequent accident are currently unclear.

Failed takeoff of a small aircraft: cause of the accident is being investigated

The Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation has already begun investigations to determine the cause of the incident. It remains to be seen what results the investigation will produce. Until then, the question of how the accident happened exactly remains open. (csa/pm)
