Hamzic Festival: UFC Söding defeats USV Ragnitz 6:4 – Football Styria – Results, tables and scorers from all STMK leagues.

The UFC-TEAM Strommer Söding won its first victory of the season against USV Ragnitz. And what a victory! The men of coach Phillip Kager won 6:4 and offered the 120 or so visitors a goal festival. The hosts laid the foundation for victory in the first half when they built up a 3:1 lead. Man of the day was Hamza Hamzic – he scored three times.

Furious start for UFC Söding

The UFC TEAM Strommer Söding started like a house on fire and took the guests by surprise. The home team took the lead in the first minute. Hamza Hamzic was the scorer who pushed the ball over the line to make it 1-0. This early lead seemed to inspire the home team, and just ten minutes later Dominik Gollner with another goal to make it 2-0. Both goals were scored from the right attacking position after quick advances combined with a cross pass to the left.

However, USV Ragnitz showed morale and fought its way back into the game. In the 20th minute it was Domen Lahwho – after a pass from Marko Kramberger – scored the next goal for the guests and reduced the score to 2:1. However, the euphoria was short-lived, the home team had a lot of fun with the Ragnitz team, because just eight minutes later it became clear Dominik Kollmann restored the old gap and scored to make it 3-1 for UFC Söding. This goal also came from an attack down the right side – the away team’s Achilles heel. This was also the half-time score, and the hosts went into the break with a comfortable lead.

Hamza Hamzic was unstoppable – he contributed three goals

The second half began as the first ended – with a goal for UFC Söding. Once again it was Hamza Hamzic who scored his second goal of the evening in the 48th minute, making it 4:1. No surprise – this goal also came after an advance on the right. Despite the clear deficit, USV Ragnitz did not give up and came through in the 61st minute. Goran Proykov – Jan Martin Prattl, who was included as an assist provider – comes back.

But UFC Söding showed no mercy that evening and followed on immediately. In the 68th minute, Hamzic scored his third goal of the game and extended the lead to 5:2. He tricked his opponent and gave the ball away into the goal. Just four minutes later, Dominik Gollner again and made the final decision with his goal to make it 6-2.

Ten goals in one game – you don’t see that every day

The guests from Ragnitz fought until the end and were defeated in the 75th minute by Anej Vrsic rewarded, which produced the 6:3. In the 82nd minute, Proykov was fouled in the penalty area and immediately converted the resulting penalty himself. Ultimately, this was just cosmetic.

After 90 minutes, the goal-rich match ended with a well-deserved 6:4 victory for the UFC TEAM Strommer Söding. The home team was particularly strong in attack and gave the guests from Ragnitz little chance to recover from the early setbacks.

“It’s unbelievable that we were able to score four goals in an away game, but unfortunately had to take an unbelievable six goals. Unfortunately, it has to be put like this; but our team is probably facing a very low-scoring autumn in 2024 if at least the basics are not consistently applied soon.”
