Tennis News: Briton Draper defeats in US Open semifinals

Briton Jack Draper faced the tennis-World number one Jannik Sinner from Italy at the US Open vomited several times on the court. In the second set, the 22-year-old was obviously not feeling well and he cleaned the court with a towel afterwards.

In humid conditions, Draper tried to cool himself down when changing sides by putting ice towels around his neck and thighs and blowing cold air from a hose. The world number 25 entered the semifinals of the Grand Slam tournament in New York as a big underdog. After two sets, he is trailing 5:7, 6:7 (3:7) and is facing elimination.

Sinner also had problems. When running back at 4:4 in the second set, he fell on his left wrist and had to be treated like Draper.
