“Wiesn Warm-Up” in Munich’s traditional department store: Many celebrities were invited

Where can you get in the mood for the Oktoberfest better than where you can find the most beautiful traditional costumes? And so the traditional Munich department store “Ludwig Beck” celebrated a big traditional costume party at the beginning of September, a good two weeks before the official start of the Oktoberfest. Christian Greiner, the CEO of “Ludwig Beck”, invited people to the traditional costume department on the fourth floor after closing time. The first guests arrived on the escalator punctually at 8:15 p.m., including numerous celebrities…

Also at the party were Wiesn boss Clemens Baumgärtner, AZ nobility expert Charlotte Gräfin von Oeynhausen, actresses Nicole Belstler-Boettcher and Darya Birnstiel, singer and choreographer Tiger Kirchharz, Wiesn landlady Petra Reinbold, influencer Julia Haupt, presenter Michael Sporer and lawyer Stavros Konstantinidis. The guests were able to get in the perfect mood for the fifth season: there was freshly tapped beer, Wiesn delicacies and cool sounds. Sandra Greiner, the wife of presenter Christian Greiner, heated things up on the turntables as a DJ and created a party atmosphere.

Big celebrity crowd in Munich’s traditional department store

Many of the invited celebrities showed up – how could it be otherwise – in dirndls. This included actress Darya Birnstiel, who said: “I am a huge fan of traditional costumes and love to look at the latest dirndls, like today. The dirndl that I am wearing today is from my own wardrobe.” Charlotte Countess von Oeynhausen, on the other hand, did not wear traditional costumes that evening and said: “I am going to the Wiesn nine times and am saving the traditional costumes for Oktoberfest. The dirndls are not ironed yet.”

Wiesn tips: These dirndl colours are trendy

The time until the Oktoberfest is getting shorter, and the dirndl is getting a little longer again. “The 80-centimeter skirt length that reaches below the calf is becoming increasingly popular. This length looks more elegant,” explained Andreas Kammermeier, the head of purchasing for traditional costumes at “Ludwig Beck”. “In terms of colors, reds, blues, sage, earthy olive green and black are on trend this season. In terms of materials, velvet, plain jacquards and linen remain popular,” he explained.

Kammermeier went on to say: “The tone-on-tone combinations for dirndls are still in demand. A new innovation is dirndl blouses with ruffles on the arm, eyelet lace or made of transparent fabrics. In addition to the classic bodice dirndls with hook fasteners or buttons, this also applies.” “Sleeve dirndls” are back in focus, either with tight or puffed sleeves.” With these trend tips, every celebrity guest will probably feel ready for the Oktoberfest.
