Apple launch event on Monday: This is what to expect from iPhone 16, Apple Watch Series 10 and Co.

Apple is also expected to announce an Apple Watch Ultra 3 with a new processor and a cheaper Apple Watch SE with a plastic case. More extensive upgrades are planned for the Apple Watch Series 10, which will be getting a new design for the first time since the Series 7 to mark the smartwatch’s tenth anniversary. The watch is expected to have a slightly larger display and a thinner case.

The biggest innovation is once again a health feature, as the Apple Watch Series 10 is said to be able to detect sleep apnea. If a sleep disorder is detected, the user receives a notification recommending further examinations by a doctor. Sleep apnea detection is to be announced on Monday, but may only be available after a software update after the Apple Watch Series 10 goes on sale. Blood pressure measurement, which has long been rumored, is to be postponed to a future model.

New Macs based on the Apple M4 are not expected until October, as is a new iPad mini. The next-generation iPhone SE with a larger OLED display and Face ID is not expected to hit the market until next year, as is the next-generation AirTag. A new Apple TV is also said to be in development, but the set-top box is not yet ready for the market and is therefore not expected to be announced on Monday.
