Regiomed: Insolvency plan for Hildburghausen before decision

Regiomed: Insolvency plan for Hildburghausen before decision

The Nuremberg District Court is to decide on the insolvency plan for the previous locations of the Regiomed clinic group in the Hildburghausen district on September 16. If the plan is confirmed by the court and the creditors’ meeting, the Hildburghausen Clinic, the Masserberg Rehabilitation Clinic and the Henneberger Land outpatient center could be transferred from the insolvent group to the Hildburghausen district as planned on October 1, a Regiomed spokesman said. The district has already founded a management company for this purpose.

The hospital group, which has 5,000 employees at a dozen locations in Bavaria and Thuringia, filed for insolvency at the beginning of this year. In the district of Hildburghausen, senior citizens’ centers and residential homes for the mentally ill and mentally disabled were also affected. According to Regiomed, they were transferred to the AWO Old People’s, Youth and Social Welfare Services at the beginning of the month.

The hospitals in Sonneberg and Neuhaus am Rennweg in Thuringia are also affected by the insolvency. At the beginning of August, the Sonneberg district council decided that the district would take over the hospitals – subject to the state of Thuringia following through on its announcement of financial support.
