Kansas City Chiefs vs. Baltimore Ravens: Host slight favorite

The fans have had to wait a long time, but now the time has finally come: The NFL is starting its new season. Traditionally, the reigning Super Bowl winners are allowed to open the new season with a home game. The Kansas City Chiefs will face the Baltimore Ravens at their home stadium, Arrowhead Stadium, and want to make a statement right away.

Although they are slight favorites against the hosts and their superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes, the Baltimore Ravens with playmaker Lamar Jackson have the quality to beat the Chiefs in their first game. But for that to happen, everything has to go right for the guests this evening.

In the new NFL season, the 32 teams will compete on a total of 18 match days of the regular season. Then seven teams per conference will qualify for the play-offs. The knockout system will then continue until the Super Bowl, which will take place on February 9, 2025, in the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. (smr)
