New firefighter drama in the works from Damon Wayans Jr., CBS Studios

CBS is hot for fire brigade dramas.

Damon Wayans Jr.’s Two Shakes Entertainment, the actor and Kameron Tarlow’s production company, is developing a New York-set firefighter drama with CBS Studios titled Ten HouseDeadline reports.

Written by Pilar Golden (God made me my friend, More than black beauty) takes place in the titular FDNY Engine and Ladder Company, which was founded in 1865 and is now located across from the 9/11 Memorial and the World Trade Center.

The official synopsis reads: “In the legendary FDNY Ten House, two newbies grapple with their legacy as children of 9/11 first responders while navigating budding feelings for each other, the firehouse’s highly trained yet formidable veterans, and the demands of emergency response in the ever-changing yet ever-challenging city of New York.”

CBS has of course already Tierra del Fuego starts its third season in autumn with Supernatural Former alum Jared Padalecki will guest star as Camden Casey, a “headstrong” Southern California firefighter who may star in his own series. (Sheriff Landthe Morena Baccarin-led Tierra del Fuego (The spin-off has already been ordered as a series for the 2025-26 television season and will revolve around, well, sheriffs.)

by CBS Tierra del Fuego was the number 9 most watched recurring drama series of the last TV season, while NBC’s Chicago Fire came in third on the same list. ABCs 9-1-1 The first responder drama was the seventh highest-rated entertainment program last season.

Wayans Jr.’s Two Shakes Entertainment is also the producer of Poppa’s Housethe new CBS sitcom in which he stars alongside his father Damon Wayans this fall. The premiere will take place on Monday, October 21 at 8:30/7:30c, following The neighborhood Season 7 and beyond NCIS: Secret Service Stories Season 22.
