Samsung Galaxy A06 officially hits shelves in Malaysia

Samsung Galaxy A06 officially hits shelves in Malaysia

Samsung has officially announced the availability of the Galaxy A06, its latest budget smartphone. As per leaks from retailers last week, the new phone is significantly cheaper than its predecessor, which is fair considering the two phones are almost identical in terms of specs.

The main differences between the A06 and the A05 are that the former has a fingerprint sensor (which was missing on the A05) as well as less RAM. The A06 runs on the same MediaTek Helio G85 chipset paired with 128GB of expandable storage, but with only 4GB of RAM instead of 6GB.

The Galaxy A06 features a 6.7-inch 720p LCD display with a 60Hz refresh rate. On the imaging side, it has a 50MP main camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and an 8MP selfie camera. The entry-level phone is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 25W charging support.

The Galaxy A06 is available in three colour options and is priced at RM449. From September 6 to 30, 2024, you will get a free 25W charging adapter along with a free one-year extended warranty when you purchase the phone.
