CPM discusses Anvar’s allegations; P Sasi refutes allegations, says CM will call the shots

Thiruvananthapuram: The CPM will investigate the allegations made by PV Anvar MLA. It is said that the state secretariat considers the allegations against the Chief Minister’s political secretary P Sasi to be very serious and will discuss them in the state secretariat meeting scheduled for Friday. Earlier, Anvar had submitted his complaints to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and CPM state secretary MV Govindan.

Party sources said the state secretariat will discuss the matter in detail on Friday and decide whether to initiate an inquiry against P Sasi. It is pointed out that an inquiry into the political secretary could put the government and the party in trouble. At this stage, no one believes that any disciplinary action will be taken against P Sasi.

LDF leader TP Ramakrishnan believes that merely making an allegation does not automatically make a person a perpetrator. According to him, the allegations have to be proven. “The allegations are very serious. An investigation will be initiated based on his complaint and the chief minister has already made it clear that the perpetrators will not be spared if the allegations are found to be true,” Ramakrishnan said.

Meanwhile, P Sasi has stated that Anvar’s allegations were not against him. “If I have made any mistakes, the Chief Minister will take a decision on it. I am not responsible for the actions of ADGP MR Ajith Kumar,” he said.

“Since my days in SFI in the 1980s, many people have been chasing me. Yet, I have survived all these struggles and made it this far in politics. I am quite happy with what I have achieved in politics,” Sasi added.
